Pecorino Sardo Dolce DOP

The Argiolas Formaggi cheese dairy has been producing sheep and goat cheese in southern Sardinia for over 50 years. The Sardo can only be cheesed on the island of Sardinia, this has been confirmed by the EU with the recognition of the DOP. The history of this type of cheese is ancient and the Sardinians are particularly proud of this 100% sheep cheese. The Pecorino Sardo is produced in two versions, Dolce and Marturo. The Pecorino Dolce DOP has only matured for 3 weeks, so its taste is mild and uncomplicated.
